When Will Change: A Nuanced Understanding of Turning Points through Bayesian Piecewise Growth Models

This study examines the recovery of changepoints using Bayesian piecewise growth models. We conducted simulations under conditions such as sample size, missing data, and prior specifications and found important implications for the influence of these factors. An illustrative example with empirical data demonstrates the methodology and provides further insights.
