Abstract
This scoping review examined the current literature on multisensory integration supporting emotion perception. Findings highlight interactions between multisensory and emotional integration brain regions in enhancing emotion recognition. Several methodological limitations were also identified including limited diversity in study population, sensory modality, and emotions investigated. Considerations for future work are presented.
