Calling and Grit’s Relationship with Teacher Burnout and Work Outcomes

Abstract
This study examines how burnout, calling, and grit relate to counterproductive work behaviors (CWBs) and organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs) in K-12 teachers. Results show that burnout and its dimensions correlate with more CWBs and fewer OCBs, while calling and grit (particularly perseverance) are associated with fewer CWBs and more OCBs.
