My Emotions Made Me Do It: Novel Approaches to Understanding Emotion-Related Impulsivity
Emotion-related impulsivity involves acting and/or thinking rashly when feeling strong emotions, and is a transdiagnostic risk factor for psychopathology. This symposium will present new findings extending the reach of emotion-related impulsivity by exploring how struggles to retain control when emotional can influence important real-world outcomes.
