Unraveling the Insidious Web of Minority Stress in Sexual and Gender Minorities: Qualitative, Quantitative, and Clinical Perspectives.
We will provide an overview of how minority stress in 2SLGBTQIA+ populations shapes and detracts from mental wellness through recent findings in: 1) Identity-based traumas as potentially morally injurious events; 2) Facilitators and barriers of gender identity development; and 3) a clinical intervention aimed to reprocess such painful experiences.
