Advances in Self-Regulation and Goal Pursuit
This symposium integrates diverse perspectives to understand self-regulation and goal pursuit. We investigate: the processes underlying quitting ‘cold turkey’, the role of emotion regulation in goal pursuit, interventions to stoke autonomous motivation, and the relationship between effort and meaning. The talks span methodological approaches to make theoretical and practical recommendations.
