Novel Approaches to Studying the Law Enforcement Investigatory Process
Four talks capture psychological and methodological concerns across the law enforcement investigation. We explore police deployment, communication during a stop, police searches, and eyewitnesses' confidence statements. At each investigatory stage, we identify how psychological processes can impede justice and equity, and how psychology can help avoid adverse outcomes through interventions.
