How Semantic Meaning Shapes and Is Shaped By Social Learning
This symposium explores how language facilitates social learning and develops through interaction. Speakers will discuss how people use semantic knowledge to form a coherent self-concept and simplify social reward learning; how perceivers use language cues to infer relationships between people; and how caregivers scaffold learning of emotion labels in children.
