I Don’t Know You, but I Still Don’t like You: The Science of Misperceptions Among Political Partisans
In the United States the alarm bell is ringing. As deepening partisan animosity jeopardizes social harmony and democratic functioning, recent scientific inquiry has identified pervasive cross-party misperceptions of values and attitudes. This symposium examines the nature of these misperceptions and how they can be leveraged to reduce polarization.
