Abstract
Perinatal anxiety, a potential determinant of children’s language development, remains understudied in diverse, low-SES populations. We examined this construct using Language Environment Analysis (LENA), a direct measure of the home language environment. Results differ from findings in upper-income samples; increased levels of parenting anxiety indicated a higher-quality home language environment.
