Abstract

Little is known about how callous-unemotional (CU) traits and blame attribution may be related. This study explored this longitudinally, finding that higher levels of CU traits predicted higher external blame attribution for youths’ offending one year later. Findings have implications for judicial decision-making and for further study of CU traits.
