A Novel Short Screening Tool Is Nearly As Effective As Provider Evaluation in Pre-Screening Neuropsychology Referrals

A screening tool was developed to decrease inappropriate neuropsychology referrals. This tool was compared to neuropsychologist evaluations using 42 participant charts. The tool demonstrated a significant correlation (r = .692, p < .001) with provider evaluations, suggesting it may prove useful for referral pre-screening.
