Abstract

639,120 theoretically possible Unique Pattern Sequences (UPS) characterized PTSD’s DSM-5 diagnostic heterogeneity and contrasted with actual UPS variability in real-world samples. Similar diagnostic data sources yielded discrepant UPS distributions. Longitudinal PTSD assessment showed stable UPS patterns; in contrast, pre-post trauma treatment measurement showed changed and restricted ranges of UPS distributions.
