Does Why You Play Video Games Matter? Differences in Networks of Associations

Abstract

The relationship between video game playing and mental health is complex. This study used Network Analysis to examine differences in associations between anxiety and satisfaction with life among individuals that play for fun, play to relax, play to improve, and play to win. Differences emerged suggesting that reasons influence well-being.
