Abstract

We conducted a systematic review (N=14) and meta-analysis (N=7) on the effect of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in incarcerated people. Our review suggests that ACT improves psychological symptoms, behaviours and mindfulness skills in incarcerated people. However, analyses yielded mixed results for impulsivity, and small effect sizes for aggression.
