Abstract
This research investigates the academic and psychological challenges experienced by first-generation graduate students (FGGS) versus peers with college-educated parents. Focusing on impostor syndrome, mentorship impact, and self-efficacy, preliminary findings may suggest FGGS experience greater obstacles but may thrive with effective mentorship.
