Abstract

Some studies link hate to prejudice, while others tie prejudice to misaligned meta-perceptions.Two studies are presented showing a strong association to concepts of hate with prejudice, however actual prejudice was best predicted by misaligned meta-perceptions of Whites about Native Hawaiians. Aligning meta-perceptions to reduce prejudice is explored.
