Expertise’s Role in Preschooler’s Suggestibility

Recent research has examined factors that predict preschoolers’ increased suggestibility. This study examines whether the expertise of the individual making the suggestion influences preschoolers’ willingness to adopt suggestions, including counterintuitive suggestions. Expertise did not significantly influence children’s suggestibility. This work thus advances work in decreasing children’s suggestibility in legal contexts.
