How Student Perception of Faculty Mindset Influences Minority Students’ Student Self-Efficacy and Sense of Belonging

Abstract
Students reported more sense of belonging when presented with a growth mindset instructor. Although non-minority students reported relatively high self-efficacy regardless of instructor mindset, minority students reported more self-efficacy when presented with a syllabus reflecting instructor growth mindset than when presented with a fixed mindset syllabus.
