Abstract
Latent-profile analyses identified 2 profiles of college drinkers using psychological distress and facets of drinking-refusal self-efficacy as indicators. Students in the higher-risk profile had greater distress and lower self-efficacy to refuse a drink. Students in the riskier profile also reported greater alcohol consumption, greater avoidance, and lower self-compassion.
