Negative interpretive biases predict greater negative emotional reactivity and risk for emotion-related disorders. Much less is known about how these biases influence emotional responses to positive contexts. We tested the influence of biases in discrete and ambiguous positive contexts, finding evidence of significant impacts on emotional reactivity.
