Ecological Momentary Assessment of Loneliness in People with Versus without Schizophrenia

The current study investigates the pervasive issue of loneliness in persons with schizophrenia (PwS) using ecological momentary assessment (EMA) alongside traditional measures (UCLA-LS). Examining PwS and non-psychiatric comparisons subjects (NC), our findings show small effect-sizes between EMA loneliness and UCLA-LS. PwS exhibit more homogeneity but higher day-to—day variability.
