Replicating and Extending Predictors of Susceptibility to Online Misinformation Using a Validated Measure of Misinformation Susceptibility

Abstract
The proposed research will use the newly developed Misinformation Susceptibility Test (MIST) in replications of the relations of previously identified characteristics to misinformation susceptibility. In addition, we will test the new hypothesis that early onset social media use (prior to age 12) also predicts misinformation susceptibility.
