Abstract
We extended our study of the better-than-average-effect with positive and negative dispositions related to critical thinking to include scientific skepticism. College students rated themselves less close-minded and correspondingly more open-minded, less susceptible to bias, and correspondingly more fair-minded, and less gullible, but not more scientifically skeptical than the average student.
