Abstract

The study examined the effects of parental impulse control and emotional awareness on the relationship between inter-partner violence and child reactivity. Data included caregivers with children aged 6-9 years old. Low emotional awareness was a significant mediator, highlighting the importance of parents’ abilities to recognize familial emotional cues.
