Abstract
Seeking to examine shifting beliefs regarding criminal justice reform, we surveyed San Francisco residents in waves. In Wave 3, there were 254 participants. We found that endorsement of "tough-on-crime" policing was positively correlated with racial resentment, suggesting a key link between perceptions of racial inequality and criminal justice policy attitudes.
