Abstract

Subcortical structures like the hippocampus and amygdala are sensitive to adversity exposure. Given dynamic changes across brain development, the effects of adversity may depend on the timing of adversity. Here, we propose a data-driven approach to elucidate how developmental timing of adversity relates to subcortical volumes and mental health.
