Parsimony Strikes Back: Evaluating a Single-Item Measure of Violent Media Consumption

This preregistered study collected data from 1,024 participants who assessed a single-item measure of violent media consumption. The single-item measure correlated significantly with other established measures and did not significantly differ from them. This measure is an efficient alternative if the depth afforded by multi-item measures is not needed.
