Abstract
We characterized the effects of sex on oxycodone-conditioned place preference (CPP) in rats. Rats trained to associate a specific compartment with oxycodone spent more time there when allowed to freely choose between compartments. Sex did not alter oxycodone CPP, suggesting that it does not dramatically influence preference for drug-associated cues.
