Measurement Invariance of Relationship Satisfaction in Midus I: Age Is Just a Number

Measurement invariance of relationship satisfaction based on age of MIDUS 1 was examined. Partial scalar invariance of a four-factor model was achieved. ANOVAs revealed significant differences in marital risk, partner support, and partner strain between age groups. These findings can be attributed to variance in age rather than measurement.
