Emotional Reactivity across Ages: The Role of Control

To determine if control differentially influences emotional reactivity across age groups, we had 50 younger adults and 50 older adults relive memories with varying degrees of control. Self-reported affect and psychophysiological measures indicate older adults are more reactive to low control while young adults are more reactive to high control.
