Abstract

Understanding behaviors underlying self-regulated learning is crucial for promoting it inside schools. We interviewed 138 9-11-year-olds in order to analyze their information-seeking behaviors when learning novel or partially known concepts. Results reveal a preference for platforms, driven by source quality, quantity, and trustworthiness. This difference diminishes when learning novel concepts.
