Abstract
We investigated the impact of acute psychosocial stress on accurate recognition of six basic emotions. Exposure to stress improved recognition accuracy of fearful, angry, and surprised facial expressions (ps = .01-.04, ηp2= .08-.14). Eye-tracking analyses revealed a significant difference between groups for nasion gaze.
