Parental Concerns and Adolescent Nutrition: Visits to Health Practitioners for Broken Teeth

Abstract

I identified the psychological and health predictors of adolescent visit to health practitioners for broken teeth. Based on a sub-sample of ABCD Study’s 1,700 adolescent respondents, parents who were more concerned about their adolescent’s dental health were 1.5 times more likely (95% CI: 1.01-2.35) to have them visit health practitioners.
