Abstract
Societal-level factors such as the state-level climate for women, and gender, sexual orientation, and racial minorities have small associations with students’ risk of experiencing sexual harassment. More proximal factors, such as the demographics of the target of harassment, likely warrant greater research attention than distal factors for prevention purposes.
