Infectious Work? Development and Preliminary Validation of the Morale Contagion Scale

Although emotional contagion is known to affect group behavior, evidence suggests that positive emotions may be less contagious. In this study, we expand social contagion research by describing the development and preliminary validation of a measure to assess susceptibility to the transfer of positive emotionality, or morale, in work settings.
