Not without My Social Identity: Exploring Its Mediating Role between Social Capital and Well-Being

Based on data from the Swiss Federal Survey of Young Adults, this study found that social identity strength mediates the impact of personal network configurations on well-being. Bonding social capital reduces depressive symptoms and stress, while some aspects of bridging social capital increase them.
