Overcoming Insecure Attachment Patterns across Generations: A Qualitative Exploration in the Chinese Context

Abstract

This study explored attachment transmission in a diverse Chinese context, finding factors disrupting intergenerational insecure attachment cycles via a qualitative study focusing on 23 individual's experiences of earned security. Results indicated ending of insecurity cycle hinges on self-reflection and supportive relationships, underscoring the significance of personal growth and nurturing relationships.
