Abstract

A detailed neuropsychological evaluation was done on 34 patients with epilepsy before and after surgery. The side of surgery had significant association with cognitive outcome.  Improvement was observed in IQ, phonemic fluency in right MTLS patients and decline in visual memory was seen in both right and left MTLS patients.
