Abstract

Path Analysis on the effects of Fear of Missing-Out (FoMO) and Problematic Social Media Use (PSMU) on Social Behaviors in 642 high school and college students showed that PSMU mediated FoMO's influence on phubbing behavior in both groups; whereas FoMO and PSMU's effects on online prosocial behavior varies across ages.
