Abstract

This study examines the link between inhibitory control, expressive flexibility, and transition stress in U.S. Veterans. We found that poorer inhibitory control leads to reduced positive emotional enhancement and indirectly increases transition stress. These insights highlight the importance of understanding cognitive factors in Veterans' emotional well-being during their civilian transition.
