A Path to Academic Achievement: The Relationships Amongst Mastery Experiences, Self-Regulated Learning, Self-Efficacy, and Agentic Engagement in an Elementary Math Context

Abstract
This empirical study explored the relationship amongst self-efficacy, SRL, mastery experiences, agentic engagement, and math difficulty in a math context with elementary students (N = 355) using SEM. Path analysis demonstrated that along with fostering SRL and self-efficacy, opportunities to experience mastery in learning contexts is essential for academic success.
