Abstract

Sixty-three individuals (Mage = 19.53) rated the profundity of various statements, completed a vocabulary test and cognitive test battery, and rated the appeal of scams. The preliminary results of this exploratory study found that better working memory, a potential protective factor, was negatively correlated with bullshit receptivity and scam susceptibility.
