Effect of Sex, Play Partner, and Play Context on Parental Speech and Gesture Production

Abstract
We examine whether children show sex differences in speech and gesture production based on play partner and play context. 33 girls and 33 boys were observed with their mothers and fathers while interacting in different contexts. We predict that parents will differ in speech and gesture production in different contexts.
