Abstract

Subjective sleep quality but not objectively assessed sleep predicts next-day anxiety in college students, moderated by anxiety sensitivity (N=92, R²=.29; Btst*asi = .09, t = 2.21, p<.001). Anxiety sensitivity may magnify symptoms of anxiety, and young adults’ perception of (not objective) sleep quality may drive these phenomena.
