Abstract

Basic psychological needs theory (BPN) is a useful framework to examine women's birthing experiences. This study will investigate differences in BPN satisfaction/frustration across all 3 needs for Black mothers compared to White. It's predicted that Black women will report lower levels of satisfaction/higher levels of frustration for the three BPN.
