Abstract

Cheating, a dishonest behaviour pervasive across all levels of academia triggers negative consequences for both students and academic communities. We investigated relations between predictors of prosociality (i.e., theory of mind and agreeableness) and development of children’s cheating. Theory of mind and demographics, but not agreeableness, were associated with childhood cheating.
