Abstract

Expressive emotion flexibility (EF) is important for development. The current study aimed to understand the extent caregivers may serve as supplementary sources of information about adolescents’ EF. Results indicated low cross-informant agreement. Further, caregivers were better at capturing adolescents’ ability to enhance than suppress or flexibly regulate emotion.
