How Stigma and Race Influence the Recovery of Missing Persons

Abstract
We investigated how race and stigma influences the willingness to search for a missing person. 240 participants viewed missing person alerts that vary based upon race and stigma. Participants answered whether they would search for the missing persons in everyday life and in search parties. No significant differences were found.
