Abstract

Linguistic cues of fake news writing style were identified in unreliable articles p < 0.05) indicated by a correlation value of 0.542^**. Emotional response and perceived credibility depended on the style and content of texts.Fake news was perceived to engender physical and psychosocial effects in denizens during the Anglophone crisis.
